Sustainable Pack: from words to facts
Punto Pack, the BCorp, with sites in Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, is a primary plastic packaging manufacturer which aims at excellence, putting awareness and ethics at the centre of its vision.
As well as the prestigious certification in 2020 as a BCorp, the movement it joined right at the outset to now become the first plastic packaging producer to have reached this milestone, the Ecovadis gold level and ISCC plus certifications have also been added.
The company and production chain have always been validated according to the ISO 9001 ad ISO 45001 standards. Punto Pack is, therefore, today a Benefit SpA, guided by a governance that implies scrupulous compliance with regulatory requirements regarding the environment, sustainability and the wellbeing of workers.
Besides having technologies for the processing of bio-plastics and plastics deriving from recycling, and investing a significant part of its revenues in R&D and in the design of ever lighter and more performing bottles and containers, it exploits the benefits of a short supply chain, compensating more than the total of emissions through the implementation of photovoltaic systems on all production units and with the acquisition of certified “green” energy.
Punto Pack’s most recent proposals with regards to green packaging include the new series of pillboxes made with recyclable material and derived from recycling: a sustainable alternative to systems that involve the coupling of different materials and therefore, by definition, not reusable.
