For specific needs, SMC Italia develops customised products that meet customers' technical and functional specifications. The production site in Carsoli, in particular, is dedicated to the development of special products. Specifically, they are pneumatic cylinders made to the customer’s design, but also special manifolds, or groups of valves mounted on bases made of particular materials. At Carsoli, in fact, there is a technical office, an equipped mechanical processing department and an assembly department, where the various products are assembled.

A department in the Headquarters in Brugherio is also dedicated to the creation of custom products, where pre-assembled control panels are created: an activity initially started as a result of the specific needs of a number of customers and which has today become a co-engineering activity aimed at defining the layout of the product.
