More flexibility, more efficiency, more quality

In particular, B&R’s mechatronic transport systems like ACOPOStrak and ACOPOS 6D come into play when it’s necessary to reach very high levels of productivity, quality and flexibility. Their features are briefly set out below.

ACOPOStrak. Thanks to the use of independently controlled trolleys, ACOPOStrak makes it possible to transport components and products from one work station to another in a rapid and flexible way. It’s a system that extends economies of scale deriving from mass production also to batches of single units. ACOPOStrak also offers high design flexibility thanks to the diverters, devices that makes it possible to divert high-speed shuttles as happens with trains on tracks: a feature that makes the system unique.

ACOPOS 6D. Based on the principle of magnetic levitation, it “heralds a new era of manufacturing”. ACOPOS 6D is composed of shuttles with integrated permanent magnets that float over the surface of electromagnetic motor segments. The working space becomes, therefore, multidimensional and the boundaries between transport and processing disappear. This offers unprecedented freedom of movement, including also advanced functionalities such as unlimited rotation and anti-sloshing technology designed for optimized liquid management and weighing.
