Luxe Pack... outstanding results
The intense three days in Monaco (1-3 October 2018), dedicated to creativity and innovation in high-end packaging, closed its doors, generating a record volume of business, in a stimulating and positive business environment.
At the 31st edition, 470 exhibitors took part, including the top global producers and 55 new entries, all acknowledging the quality of the relationships struck up at the fair: of the roughly 9280 visitors, 53% were international (from 86 countries), and about 8 out of 10 (78.5%) played a decision-making role, representing all sectors (over 60% perfumery and cosmetics, followed by wines and spirits, fashion, gastronomy, pharmacy and health, jewelry and watches, tableware and decoration, leather goods, tobacco, writing instruments, etc.).

Industrialbox - Gold perimeter for the Jamal perfume
Hypnotic essences and emotions that blend with the aromas: these are the characteristics of the products of Cereria Terenzi which, also for the Jamal perfume collection (recently presented in Milan), has created an inebriating and inviting fragrance, which is reflected in the packaging made by Industrialbox.
The dyed-in-the-mix burgundy casket, with hot printed gold lines and not only on the four corners of the lid and the bottom but also along the outer frames of the pack, create a gold perimeter, which makes it unique from the first glance.
The complex structure on laminated gray cardboard formed by base, lid, stop, housing printed in cold foil, step and cap allows the bottle to have a proper support inside the box, emphasizing the personality, which is confirmed at the opening of the packaging and at the first scent of aroma.
Favini - The Tube
An exclusive range of light weight graphic papers featuring Hide, an embossed surface embellished with an elegant leather design, which guarantees an exclusive sensorial and tactile experience. The new texture, the latest trend of look&feel materials at greater depth and materiality, evokes the discreetly matt luxury of fine leather goods and adapts itself to finishing with contrast prints and metal foils. The Tube Hide is also renewed in the colors with the opaque nuances of Toffee, Dust and Black Max. Sappi Limited - Atelier©
Multilayer GC1 cardboard for cartons, available in weights of between 220 g/sqm and 350 g/sqm. Revolutionary material in the thick board (FBB) market, it offers excellent performance in terms of brightness, printing results, purity and degree of smoothness. Among the most innovative features is the level of white, standing at 100% on the top side and 98.5% on the back.
Creative Edge Software - ic3d real-time ray tracer
Designed for 3D printing, the software runs on Mac and PC via NVidia or AMD graphics card. The new technology enables the obtaining of high resolution rendering (6000x3500 pixels) in a very short time (a few minutes against 3/4 hours). Users can interact dynamically with their own 3D virtual packaging projects, making changes to materials, geometry and lighting in photographic quality, with simultaneous rendering of changes, simplifying and revolutionizing the entire design process.
Icma - Taylor Made
72 different textures with which to design custom-made paper for every packaging need of the major luxury brands, including the creation of capsule collections and limited editions. The wide variety of weights (from 50 to 400 grams) is ideal for creating co-ordinated packaging with corporate communication (catalogues, invitations, booklets). The customization also extends to the back of the paper with self-adhesive and thermoadhesive options, natural or colored hues and special finishes. Three new embossings are available today in the collection: Buckman, a very fine canvas with an elegant, barely perceptible design; Japanese, light-dark effects, with irregular weft and Stylized Wood, a proposal inspired by the veining and the knots of wood essences. Made of virgin or recycled cellulose (100% post consumer waste) and FSC certified, it offers a further guarantee to luxury companies committed to environmental issues.
Dupont™ - Surlyn®
New developments for ionomeric resin, which combines resistance to impact, abrasion, chemical agents and crystalline transparency even on large thicknesses. The partnership with Leonhard Kurz, who has developed a foil for hot printing at low temperatures, has in fact enabled the expansion of its decorative potential and the quality of pigmentation, obtaining glossy, colored, golden or metallic effects for unlimited customization possibilities.
Verescence - Man Essence Wood by Bulgari
Bottle of 60 ml and 100 ml in ecological glass, made with NEO Infinite Verescence Glass, dedicated to premium perfumery and cosmetics brands. It is a formulation of 90% recycled transparent glass comprising 25% post-consumer recycled glass, 65% of cullet and 10% of raw materials. For the decoration a brown translucent lacquering was chosen, with sophisticated hot gold printing for the lettering.
Qualipac (Groupe Pochet) - Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl
Luxurious and elegant, the packaging of Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl is made of transparent PETG, which brings out the brilliance of the content: on the emblematic black lacquered closure, a ribbon of fabric has been applied with the name of the silk-screened brand in silver. The “G” on the end of the applicator as well as the logo engraved on the top of the cap complete the packaging in a refined way.
Albertini Packaging Group (APG) - Tempi rapidi, qualità costante
Albertini Packaging Group SpA offers a wide range of products, developed on the most varied media, to meet the needs of a market constantly looking for creativity and innovation.
Thanks to the acquisitions made in recent years, the Group (about 150 employees, over 26 million in revenues estimated in 2018) operates in three key sectors of paper converting: production of folding cartons and covered boxes for high perfumery and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and label printing.
In particular, the APG Cosmetic Division offers a complete production cycle and cutting edge applications (UV offset printing, UV screen printing, dry lamination and water-based glues, hot and embossed printing, printing, die-cutting and gluing systems for PVC and polypropylene).
Bormioli Luigi - Prisma
Thanks to an innovative process of vacuum deposition, the glassware has obtained a new iridescent effect on the surface of the bottles for perfumery and high-end cosmetics, obtained with the application of an ultra-fine layer of metal salts. Depending on the materials used, it is possible to create both neutral and colored shimmering reflections, changing the angle of observation. The intensity and brilliance of the result depend on the control of the vacuum technology - which allows the application of Prisma on the entire bottle, bottom and shoulders included. Last but not least, it is an eco-friendly development, totally without solvents, heavy metals and SVHC.
Cordenons - Tasty
Range of luxury creative cards for “food contact” packaging: certified and proposed in various weights, they are suited to the main printing, finishing and finishing technologies. Tasty dry is formulated exclusively for direct contact with dry and non-humid-fatty foods, while Tasty Moist & Fatty is destined for the production of packaging and packaging for wet-fatty foods (in this case, a special treatment gives an original glossy effect).
Cosfibel Premium - Scandal by Night
Très chic is the total pink collection case (21x20 cm), created by Cosfibel for the new Scandal by Night fragrance by Jean Paul Gaultier. Impressed on a slab of plexiglass, the iconic “legs turned upside down” at the opening of the casket light up in neon pink, thanks to the LEDs housed inside the cover.
An embossed ornamental motif runs along the entire perimeter of the box, while the brand is hot-stamped. A transparent PET thermoformed material hostss Scandal spray in the 80ml and 10ml formats.al spray nei formati da 80 ml e da 10 ml.
Rissmann - Corporate re-design
Boxes, envelopes and exclusive accessories: an expression of the developments that the company has been experiencing for the last two years, Rissmann (headquarters in Nuremberg) has “brought” Luxe Pack not only innovative solutions for luxury goods, but also a new logo and a stand with an appealing design, in other words a renewed corporate image.
