Pharmintech 2016
In April 2016, at Bologna, a week entirely dedicated to the pharmaceutical supply chain with Pharmintech and Cosmofarma Exhibition.
Pharmintech, the triennial trade fair dedicated to the technology supply chain for the pharmaceutical, parapharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical industry and organised by BolognaFiere, returns to Bologna from 13-15 April 2016 in partnership with UCIMA - the Union of Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers - and sponsored by Farmindustria. In 2016 Pharmintech will run alongside the 20th edition of Cosmofarma Exhibition, bringing the entire pharmaceutical supply chain together in Bologna and offering exciting opportunities for business, in-depth analysis and training during a real Pharma Week. Following the success of the 2013 edition with over 350 exhibitors (40% from abroad), Pharmintech will be cementing its role as the landmark international platform for the pharmaceutical industry, enhancing its exhibition programme with initiatives geared towards increasing business opportunities for exhibiting companies and professionals within the sector.
Anticipations on contents. The central theme of 2016 edition of Pharmintech will be combating counterfeit pharmaceuticals throughout the supply chain. Participants will be able to explore the opportunities presented by new regulations, serialisation, GDPs (Good Distribution Practices), the growing need to combat counterfeiting, and new technology, outlining the future scenario for the entire pharmaceutical chain.
The organizers are aiming at the further development of strategic areas, such as solutions for industrial automation within the pharmaceutical sector. But they also intend enhancing the exhibition offer of packaging machines and materials, as well as processing technology, such as “clean rooms”, components and instrumentation for laboratories, further enhancing the exhibition programme for visitors.
A highly structured Buyers’ Program has been scheduled where exhibiting companies can hold face-to-face meetings with foreign delegations of their choice from the most important regions for the sector: North America, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. In terms of internationalisation, Pharmintech has already started up an intense promotional activity, focussed aboveall on emerging markets, with a full calendar of road shows and a presence at the main events abroad. Lastly, a reminder that during Pharma Week, ASIS - the Italian Healthcare Industry Association - will focus on innovation in the pharmaceutical sector, with in-depth analyses of new research projects by universities involving manufacturers, distributors and the pharmaceutical industry in southern Europe and the Mediterranean basin geared towards creating opportunities for technology transfer, synergy and fruitful business relationships.
