Pick&place and palletization, even for largescale consumption
Kuka Roboter Italia presented at Ipack-Ima in style, with a 160 m2 stand in the middle of pavilion 14, dedicating particular attention to pick&place solutions and palletization in the consumption goods sector, which perhaps more than others requires high performance, with robots integrated with high speed conveyors and vision systems.
• Agilus Waterproof, which leads its class in speed and precision, was operating in its liquid contact version, manipulating objects and simulating loading/unloading a machine tool. For the first time in Italy, the KR Agilus HM (Hygienic Machine) was also presented, destined for primary handling and processing in the food sector.
• For its part, the Light Weight Robot LBR iiw was set up in a cell in which was assembling metallic and plastic materials, with force feedback, demonstrating its “adaptive” features made possible by sensors integrated into the arm. Furthermore, the cell in question showed how a safe interaction between operator and robot is possible, and the robot’s remarkable sensitivity to possible impacts.
• Finally, the KR 40 PA - a small high performance 4 axis palletizer - was synchronized with the conveyor with the help of the optional ConveyorTech, and integrated with the Kuka VisionTech vision system, whose visual display is shown directly on the SmarPad’s HMI or an external monitor.
