Digital UV inkjet label printing
Devised for small-to-medium runs, the Durst Tau 330 combines reliability and efficiency with sure economic advantages in the production of industrial and safety labels.
A leading Durst product, the UV Tau 330 digital printer is available in a maximum printing width of 330 mm. The print speed of up to 48 m/min corresponds to the amazing production capacity of 950 sqm per hour.
Thanks to the variable drop and the gray scale technology, it reaches a visible image resolution of 1000 dpi, hence also the smallest characters are reproduced with great clarity and the tones appear uniform and homogeneous.
The patented Durst Single Pass UV Inkjet Technology enables the configuration with 7 UV inks: CMYK, orange, violet and white. The availability of a white color with excellent coverage properties in fact extends the range of applicative possibilities to transparent and color substrates. The standard model is fitted with a RIP global software with integrated functions for the management of color substrates.
With its new high-definition print mode, the Tau 330 is capable of achieving a resolution of 720 x 1260 dpi, a considerable improvement in print quality resulting in razor-sharp text and fine details in graphics and images
And again…
To optimize productivity with a fully digital end-to-end work flow, the Tau 330 can optionally be outfitted with a new, linear digital laser finishing system from punching technology specialist Spartanics. Equipped with a powerful 1000-Watt laser, this system enables automatic job and order changing in a single pass. The Tau 330 can also use the new Tau low-migration UV inks from Sunjet for printing on primary food packaging. Thus the range of applications is extended to include self-supporting films such as aluminium lids. The newly installed inert gas system also reduces the typical odor created by UV inkjet inks, to fulfil the requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries for relatively odor-free print.
Lunaxe Traçabilité, has beefed up its production of Smart Labels adopting the Durst inkjet UV digital Tau 330, being the fourth French company to bank on the versatility of the system for future digital production of RFID and other types of tracking labels. Chosen for its reliability, the Tau 330 was already being operated 7 hours a day right after installation. The workloads will be increased progressively up to reaching 14 hours a day starting in 2016. |
