Automatic sorting solutions from Interroll

Interroll (SIX Swiss Exchange), a leading Swiss manufacturer of handling solutions, has supplied five crossbelt sorters to Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics (SPPAL), a longstanding customer that had already made similar orders in the past.

This fully-automated, high-performance sorting system will be installed in the existing system infrastructure of a mail centre in the Zurich area.

In its capacity as general contractor, Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics (SPPAL) responded to the mail company’s need for an increasingly customised packaging solution capable of handling the different sizes and weights of shipments in the fast-growing e-commerce sector.

For this segment, Interroll offers horizontal, vertical and space-saving sorter solutions (curve radius as small as 2.5 metres).

The new infeed modules, which allow goods flow speeds to be configured according to requirements, also excel in terms of their small dimensions.
