Hygienic Design: the gear reducer that stands up to corrosion

Hygienic Design is the WITTENSTEIN alpha stainless steel reducer designed conforming to EHEDG standards, that regulate processing in especially corrosive and/or aseptic environments (food, pharmaceutical, ophthalmic) where components and systems requires periodical, safe, efficient and speedy cleaning and disinfestation.

The series has Teflon gaskets, body without edges and ridges to prevent the deposit of pollutant bacteria and microorganisms. The electrochemical polishing of the surfaces reduces the product residue, ensuring a better rinsing of the cleaning liquids.
Three capacities are available, with torsional play ≤ 6arcmin, reduction ratios from 4 to 100, max torque acceleration from 29 Nm to 200 Nm, and max input speed of 6000 rpm. As well as the standard version options with outflow flange and with integrated motor (axenia) are available.
