Added value packaging

At this year’s Interpack, the RPC Group underlined its capabilities and expertise across a wide range of end markets, and its ability to deliver added value through innovative packaging solutions.

With its extensive choice of manufacturing processes and polymers, RPC is able to use its market-leading technologies and in-depth knowledge and experience to tailor a pack to the precise requirements of each customer.
Examples on show included different solutions for single-serve beverage systems; the combination of design and technical skills that lead the market in airless dispensers, cream jars, deo sticks and lip care packs; the choice of barrier technologies to deliver extended ambient shelf life for food products; and technical innovations in pharmaceutical dispensing and dosing systems.
For pharmaceutical markets, RPC Formatec has introduced the Single Dose Counter, a cost-effective system that enables users of PMDIs (pressurised metered dose inhalers) to easily countdown the number of doses taken from their inhalers.

Among the brand new products on display, Bebo Swing from RPC Bebo Plastik integrates easy-opening, reclosing and tamper-evidence, for a variety of spreadable products such as cheese, margarine and butter.
And RPC Emballages Moirans has launched the first UN certified 20 litre container to weigh just 700g.
During the exhibition, RPC Superfos received the prestigious WorldStar award for its custom oxygen barrier packaging for Bornholms’ sea food.
