DuoDrive: gearbox and motor together

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS presents DuoDrive, a gearmotor with a revolutionary hygienic wash-down design: the IE5+ synchronous motor and the NORDBLOC.1 single-stage right-angle gearbox are integrated in a single housing. Plug-and-play, ultra-compact in design and size, with a smooth, non-ventilated surface, DuoDrive is easy to clean and corrosion-resistant. It is therefore also suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions or where high hygiene standards are required, such as in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in intralogistics.

The elimination of many wearing parts reduces maintenance requirements. Another advantage is energy efficiency. DuoDrive achieves an efficiency of 92%, the highest among the gearmotors available on the market for this power class, even with partial loads.

In the first available size, it covers gear ratios from i=3.24 to i=16.2 and is sized for a torque range up to 80 Nm and a rotational speed up to 1,000 min-1.

For all of the above features, DuoDrive enables a significant reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and higher plant productivity compared to conventional drives.
