Linear manipulators
Thanks to the easy installation mechanics and electronics, the pick&place modules are pre-assembled and ready for use, ensuring a rapid system start-up. Fast and programmable, these mechatronic manipulators are driven by linear electric motors.
Contrary to conventional mechanical manipulators, motion is not transmitted by cams or mechanical gears, but by induced electromagnetic forces, thus also reducing mechanical wear to close to nil.
The MLE series is powered by LSMs (Linear Synchronous Motors), today’s ultimate for automatic machines. Control and feeding systems are very simple and, like the ones for the rotary brushless motor, considered an industrial standard. Indeed the standard thrust and stroke and accuracy of these motors respond well to the specific needs of automatic machines. Position control is ensured by highly sophisticated systems, guaranteeing excellent repeatability and accurate positioning. To be underlined also the easy communication of the MLE series with external sources. Its control system is open to all existing available fieldbuses, including the most modern communication Ethernet protocols commonly used in local networks.
The Autorotor system comes with the speediest and top performing fieldbus: EtherCAT, an open-source communication protocol that uses Ethernet in an industrial environment. The MLE system programming is also open to common standards including IEC 6-1131 compliant automation programming languages.
Developed by Autorotor, the new MLE linear manipulators offer a concrete response to the needs in industrial practices, where automation lays down precise rules and constraints: optimization of production through more efficient handling, and use of flexible and fast systems that enable product diversification.
