Mobile computer for harsh environments

Datalogic, a global leader in the sectors of automatic data acquisition and industrial automation, recently launched DL-AXIST, a new full touch PDA with an Android operating system.

The Android-based latest generation mobile computer is extremely robust and adapted to highly challenging industrial environments. Thanks to a brilliant full touch 5’’ HD display and MIMO technology unique in the sector for superior wifi reception and a faster connection, it is also suitable for logistics applications: receiving and shipping goods, managing orders and resupplies. The Gorilla® Glass 3 display and an additional protective case augment the device’s resistance.
With DL-AXIST, Datalogic introduces its new proprietary software SoftSportTM, which enables positioning a “virtual trigger” on any point of the large display in order to maximize the ergonomics and productivity of scanning.

For use while in motion (navigation or workforce management), voice and data transmission is guaranteed by 3G/4G connections.
Bluetooth® v4 connectivity offers support to the most recent trends in indoor localization such as Beam, while NFC technology is used for simple, instantaneous configuration of the device. DL-AXIST can be dropped from a height of 1.8 m without incurring any damage and is classified as an IP67 device, resistant to submersion in water.
