New Features for Expert Vijeo Citect

Schneider Electric announces the release of StruxureWare™ Expert SCADA Vijeo Citect v7.40, a new version of its integrated software for industrial automation and control systems.

A new version of its integrated software for industrial automation and control systems, enhanced with features that improve, simplify, and make SCADA systems more timely and efficient. Expert Vijeo Citect is now part of the StruxureWare suite and software applications, a complete platform that allows customers to view, measure, manage efficiency at all levels.
Designers will notice significant improvements in some areas, starting with the better structure of object-based references (as the software supports machine component syntactic items in graphics and in scripting).
Intuitive  too the Equipment Editor interface, in which it is easier to configure templates and hierarchical instances for machine components. By simplifying the process, the editor shortens the engineering phase and minimizes the learning curve for engineers who design the system.
But operators on SCADA systems will  also benefit from the new release. The new templates are designed in fact to provide a “familiar” user experience, and have features similar to those of many other commonly used software applications. They are also optimized for resolutions adopted for large screens.
Expert SCADA Vijeo Citect v7.40 connects to EcoStruxure™ Web Services, enabling web based inter-operability between this software and other products from Schneider Electric and its partners. Customers have at their disposal an instrument of exceptional power and fluidity to share data between their various software applications in real-time.
