New integrated solutions for industrial robots
Launched on 1 April 2016, the Omron industrial robot line includes 49 cutting-edge models developed by Omron Adept Technologies Inc.
Integrated with the successful Omron NX/NJ series machine controllers and with their range of sensors and for the safety components, the robots can be easily implemented in all manufacturing environments.
The unique combination of software and control architecture offered by Omron is able to meet the challenges of industrial automation, for example the production of heterogeneous mixes of products characterized by short life cycles and rapid production line changes. The joint supervisory hardware, the integrated software architecture and development environment are able to meet current and future needs for simplification in the process design, operating flexibility and predictive maintenance. Omron’s dynamic and flexible solutions are ideal for sectors like the food, automotive and hi-tech industries.
This launch of global reach demonstrates Omron’s continued commitment in developing innovative solutions to improve productivity through the integration of robots and detection capabilities, control, management of movement and safety.
Speedy and reliable. The launch of three families of robots (SCARA, Delta, anthropomorphic) adds high-speed performance to reliability from a mechanical point of view. All robots can be controlled by an integrated development environment, which means they can be used flexibly according to the user’s actual applicative requirements.
Direct links to the controls. The solutions developed by Omron enable the transparent connection of all robots into the machine control environment run by the Sysmac automation platform. This helps improve the overall efficiency of the production line, overcoming the limitations of traditional frameworks using conventional robots.
Facilitated design and development. The integrated software environment facilitates design and development: ACE (Automation Control Environment) includes guided procedures oriented towards applications that significantly reduce the quantity of programming codes. Users have a powerful 3D emulation tool that dramatically reduces the time of validation of new automated processes. The assisted vision robotic applications are fully supported by ACE PackXpert for packaging lines.
