Regenerated PVC cores

Since 1958, Laborplast’s core business has been the production of regenerated PVC cores for film wrapping.

A precise choice of field, the latter, thanks to which the company is a competent and reliable supplier of eco-sustainable solution * for the application of films and membranes for the packaging industry.
The selected quality of the raw material suppliers, the in-depth knowledge of the optimal processing conditions in the 5 dedicated extrusion lines, as well as the support of an internal laboratory, which enables punctual analyses on the production lots to be carried out, allow Laborplast to manufacture every year about 8000 t of regenerated PVC cores, with characteristics very similar to those produced in virgin material: similar aesthetic qualities, high mechanical properties, resistance to atmospheric agents and to the proliferation of bacteria and mold, guarantee a high degree of hygiene.

On the other hand, with the same performance, the use of recycled PVC makes it possible to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, compared to a production from scratch.
Finally, the cores in regenerated compound, being made of “mono-material” (100% PVC, without additional glues or coatings), are in turn completely recyclable.

* In order to encourage the use of regenerated PVC products, Laborplast has joined the European Recovinyl consortium which, with the VinylPlus program, aims to recycle over 800 thousand tons of PVC by 2020.
