The sedApta suite improves Verallia’s supply chain
sedApta, an international group with more than 25 years of experience in the development of Manufacturing IT, Supply Chain Management and Industry 4.0 tools, offers an integrated suite of solutions for the planning, execution and optimisation of industrial production.
The most innovative proposals include Web Collaborative Sales, Resource&Supply Planning (a graphics interface for monitoring and optimising production line capacity over time) and Web Scheduling (a multi-level mechanism for effective order planning).
The company has acquired more than 20 years’ experience in the hollow glass sector in collaboration with Verallia, the world’s third largest glass container manufacturer. In 2019 this partnership led to the SCM project in which Verallia redesigned its supply chain processes as an integrated response to its needs in terms of S&OP (Sales and Operation Planning), MPS (Master Production Schedule) and SFS (Shop Floor Scheduling). The project involved the strategic planning and production aspects of the Latam division (30 plants, 46 furnaces and 151 moulding machines).
The solution proposed by sedApta has enabled Verallia to significantly improve its level of service, reduce stock, improve warehouse management and optimise resources. It also brings numerous benefits in terms of processes, including increased simulation capacity, scenario generation for What-If analyses, optimisation and synchronisation of operations and faster decision-making processes.
All solutions have highly intuitive user interfaces while guaranteeing customised calculation functions and optimised planning and scheduling processes. The use of a dedicated optimisation engine also allows specific heuristics to be applied to each issue to simulate different production plan scenarios.
