Three inks for hi-speed inkjet printing

Videojet Technologies has devised three Ultra High Speed (UHS) inks, tested at numerous print speeds and in extreme ambient conditions.

Developed to enable an optimum drop formation, they satisfy high quality control standards.

V516-D, black ink, resistant also for retort packs, guarantees a longer code life. Non modifiable, it can stand up to immersion in water/steam at high temperatures for cooking subsequent to filling and sealing of contents. Easily readable, it guarantees max adhesion, in particular on aluminium and metal alloy cans.

V517-D, thermochromic ink without MEK, it goes from black to blue when coded on thermally processed food containers made up of different substrates in metal, plastic and glass. It can be used for food and pharmaceutical products. The low volatility of the ink solvents and the fluid make-up of the same offer a limited total cost of management.

V530-D, black ink for general use and rapid drying without MEK, offers excellent adherences on different types of plastics that are difficult to code such as non treated polyethylene and polypropylene, but also metals, paper, wood, ceramics and glass.
With a rapid drying time, it also stands up to low temperatures in the storage freezer and commercial fridges and is study to abrasion caused by contact between products during stacking and transportation along the production line.
