Berlin Packaging completes its fifth acquisition in 2019

US packaging producer Berlin Packaging has completed its fifth acquisition in 2019 (the thirteenth since 2010) with the takeover of Novio Packaging Group, a Netherlands-based company with 160 employees.

The acquisition of the new company will enable the Chicago-based global supplier of rigid packaging products to act as a unique supplier of glass, plastic, and metal containers and closures with an extensive presence in Europe, a market where it is looking to expand its footprint.

This follows the acquisition of another two Dutch companies in September: Vincap and Adolfse Packaging, leading suppliers of plastic, cork and metal closures and plastic packaging for food and beverages to the Benelux market.

Berlin Packaging ($2.6 billion) has more than 1,300 employees, 130 locations in North America and operations in nine European countries, China and South Africa.
