Marchesini buys up Cosmofarma from PRB
Announced in early February, Marchesini Group SpA’s purchase of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics company PRB SpA regards technologies for the secondary packaging (wrapping-, packers, casepacking, cartoning and palletizing machines) of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
As states Marchesini Group CEO Maurizio Marchesini «PRB has developed a valuable core technology and the buy-up represents an important opportunity, allowing us to offer customers around the world full, integrated, leading edge lines, backed up by a global after sales and technical support service».
In the first transition phase Marchesini Group and PRB will work together to guarantee commercial and after sales service and full customer support. Towards the end of the year, the Group will start the production of machines made with PRB technology.

Marchesini, moreover, will be able to provide stand-alone machines made using PRB technology, capable of being integrated with the other OEM machines, or with complete lines already installed.
Marchesini Group is a well-established, leading supplier of complete lines and machines for packaging for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The figures speak for themselves: 1200 employees, 14 manufacturing divisions, 7 acquired companies and a partner company, a network of 20 agencies and 11 branch office markets, 85% of turnover generated from exports.
PRB joined the network of companies that are owned by Tissue Machinery Company SpA a little over a year ago. PRB SpA has been active for over thirty years and creates end-of -line packaging solutions for the food and confectionery, detergents and paper sectors.
