Mondelēz International posts turnover of almost $26 billion in 2019
In 2019, Mondelēz International posted a turnover of $25.8 billion (+4.1% on the previous year) and a net profit of $3.87 billion.
Emerging markets were the group’s main growth driver, with Asia, the Middle East and Africa reporting a 5.3% increase in revenues.
India, in particular, recorded double-digit growth, but the American multinational also achieved excellent results in China, where it generated 4.5% of its total sales.
A significant contribution to the group’s revenue growth also came from the strong performance of Perfect Snacks, the North American company acquired by Mondelēz in July 2019, which added $53 million in net revenues during the reporting period.
For 2020, the group is expecting organic sales growth of around 3%.
