SEA Vision acquires Argentine firm Lixis
SEA Vision Group (Marchesini Group), a leading Italy-based company specialising in the development of vision and track-and-trace systems for the pharmaceutical industry with a consolidated turnover of €60 million, has announced the 100% acquisition of Lixis, an Argentine software house with over 17 years of experience in the field of pharmaceutical vision, control and serialisation (more than 1600 systems supplied to 57 countries).
According to SEA Vision’s CEO Michele Cei, this strategic agreement “Enables us to complete our portfolio with solutions developed within a context of high quality and in-depth market knowledge”. The operational synergies between the two companies will enable SEA Vision to become the leading group in its target market for both software and hardware in Latin America with more than 70 professionals working locally.
An expert technical team consisting of personnel from the American and European branches will guarantee 24-hour customer support.
In addition to the headquarters in Buenos Aires, Lixis has long been collaborating with SEA Vision in the Brazilian market through the São Paulo-based subsidiary SEA Vision Latin America (SVLA), which is also about to open a new branch in Goiania. To further expand its direct presence throughout Latin America, SEA Vision is also in the process of starting up a subsidiary in Mexico. These operations are part of the commercial expansion policy pursued by the group in recent years which has led to the creation of subsidiaries in Germany, Russia and the USA.
The two founders of Lixis, Felipe Llach and Santiago Aranda, will stay on as directors of the company and as supervisors of all SEA Vision Group branches in the LATAM market.
