Half a century of packaging experience
An important milestone for D.C.M., which this year celebrates 50 years of activity.
From industrial robots for primary and secondary packaging to end-of-line, from palletising systems to special solutions for various needs: D.C.M. approaches the F&B sector as a unique interlocutor, on the back of the expertise acquired in half a century of activity. The spread of industrial robots and automation systems has led to a veritable revolution in factories both in terms of efficiency and security. The solutions proposed by D.C.M in this area, the experience acquired in the field and the strong dedication to customer service testify to a precise commitment that has as its objective the ever-increasing productivity of lines.
The key role of safety in primary packaging
As the D.C.M.’s Chairman Alessandro Casiraghi points out, for the Food & Beverage Industry, one of the priorities for guaranteeing the safety of food products is correct design in terms of the Hygienic Design of plant and machinery:
«Our interlocutors, from the world of coffee to that of chocolate and as far as the bakery sector, require high hygienic standards, especially with regards to primary packaging. The focus is, therefore, on the ease of cleaning of the materials, surfaces and structural elements, in order to avoid the deposit of product residues and detergents».
The Hygienic Design robotic solutions under the autonox Robotics brand, distributed in Italy by D.C.M., meet these requirements in full compliance of the safety protocols, thanks to the use of food-compliant materials, with a protection class of up to IP69K and to the exclusive robots responsible or rapid and efficient cleaning with pressure washers of up to 28 bars.
Top solutions also in secondary packaging and end-of-line D.C.M.’s technological offer also covers requirements linked to efficient secondary packaging and end-of-lines. The dedicated range, able to meet different needs in numerous sectors, numbers today more than 300 models, including Duopodi, Delta with from 3 to 5 axes, Anthropomorphic and Scara robots.
It’s a range that covers the entire supply chain, about which Casiraghi continues: «Much appreciated by the clientele is the concept of independence from the controller. We supply the mechanical part and our customers are free to choose the controller autonomously, so as not to have to learn new programming languages. Another significant advantage is the possibility of managing the robots with the same controller of the entire line without the need for interfacing». He concludes: «Our objective is to offer the market ever-more innovative and personalised solutions, a goal which we are achieving thanks to always listening to customers’ needs and to the expertise of all our workers ».
