Vulture: the label born in a volcano
At the fiftieth edition of Vinitaly, Luxoro (exclusive distributor and representative of the Kurz Group in Italy) presents Vulture, a new creation to decorate an exclusive selection of Aglianico del Vulture, produced by Cantina Re Manfredi (Gruppo Italiano Vini).
«The first thing one notices about this label» explains Jana Kokrhanek, CEO of Luxoro, «is the clear reference to the Monte Vulture volcano.
The concept, developed by Domino Communication, is inspired by the natural elements of earth and fire from its bellows: red curling plumes of fire jump out at the eye, as if seeking a way out of the darkness».
The technical development and execution of the decoration, designed by specialists at h+m (a Kurz subsidiary) according to Luxoro’s specifications, plays a key role in the stylistic drama of the label.
Foils and a color gamut - Luxor® 414 for the red, Luxor® 428 for the gold, applied with hot foil technology - render the plumes of fire even more dynamic, while reliefs, engraving and nano-incisions made using h+m plates confer materiality and a tactile effect to the subject, further enhancing the label’s visual impact.
The ensemble is completed by the packaging containing the bottle, which takes up the design of the label: on one of the outer sides of the box is reproduced a narration with historic and literary references, intertwining King Manfred of Swabia to the culture and traditions of Italy.
