Ecomondo: business and relations

Italy wagers on the green economy to fuel the recovery. This the message from Ecomondo (November 3 to 6, Rimini Fiera), where the proposals of 1,200 companies and the contents of the 200 seminars with over 1,000 speakers showed the mettle of an industrial and scientific system aligned to the highest standards, as well as offering a model for economies of other countries.

The presence at the fair of operators from around the world gave the four days a truly international dimension.
103,514 professional visitors attended the event (+ 1.68% on 2014), 11,000 of which operators and 500 foreign buyers, which stabilizes the European positioning of Ecomondo and its accompanying fairs (Key Energy, Key Wind, Key Energy, White Evolution, SA.LVE, H2R Mobility for Sustainability, Cooperambiente and Condominio Eco).
The event also hosted the fourth edition of the States General of the Green Economy (www.statigenerali.org), featuring the Italian picture revealing a decidedly “green” orientation of companies and concerns, but also proposals to “cool down the climate”, sent to Government in view of the Paris World Conference. In terms of content, the scientific program coordinated by Fabio Fava for Ecomondo and Gianni Silvestrini for Key Energy, in addition to its international profile, transmitted the prospect of a circular economy already feasible today and that is evermore gaining hold in all industrial sectors. Because «being “sustainable” has become a business requirement, that though leads to a new challenge, namely that of conceiving waste as material, hence broaching the task of reorganizing production to follow the same», said the President of Rimini Fiera Lorenzo Cagnoni.
