Italian germicidal technology
Given the exceptional nature of the present situation, K.L.A.IN. Robotics and Autognity Srl have decided to enter into a strategic and operational alliance to develop systems for reducing biological risk based on the principles of infectivity, pathogenicity and transmissibility.
The partnership between the two companies has led to the creation of Pro Health System, a disinfection system developed by the Purity Group which uses UV-C rays and ozone generated by a low-pressure mercury vapour discharge lamp capable of emitting short wavelength electromagnetic radiation (UVC from 100 to 280 nm) with a significant germicidal effect.
The combined action of UV-C rays and ozone penetrates the cell walls of bacteria, viruses and bacterial spores, damaging their reproductive system and preventing them from proliferating. The new technology is capable of operate completely independently. It reduces infections contracted in hospitals by up to 34.2% through disinfection cycles of about 5-20 minutes and is equipped with infrared sensors, video cameras and a people recognition system that causes it to stop automatically when people are present in the area. The PHS system is managed using a simple and intuitive interface via a smart tablet PC and an app that allows it to be monitored by an authorised operator. Pro Health System is not only an effective sanitisation system but also has zero environmental impact as it does not use chemicals but is based on natural disinfection principles.
The system is available in three models (PHS-M, PHS-S and PHS-P) and is suitable for disinfection of any environment. Along with hospitals and health facilities, it can also be used in offices, wellness centres, business premises, schools, railway stations, airports and any public area.
The validity of the operating principles is confirmed by authoritative organisations such as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), which recommends ultraviolet germicidal irradiation as a strategy for combating coronavirus transmission.
