Nestlé announces major investment in Mexico

Nestlé has announced plans to invest $700 million in the modernisation of its 17 factories in Mexico.

This will involve integrating state-of-the-art technology designed to boost production capacity and accelerate the development of healthy products to meet the nutritional needs of Mexican consumers.

The industrial revamping plan will last four years and create 400 new job positions.

The first $200 million will be invested in a new coffee plant in Veracruz, which will process 20,000 tons of coffee per year and is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2020.
