Poplast acquired by Green Arrow Capital

The acquisition of Piacenza-based company Poplast (previously owned by Eos Investment Management) by Green Arrow Capital Sgr has created the first Italian eco-friendly packaging production centre.

The acquisition of Poplast, which in turn controls 100% of FM Plastic, is just the first step in a process of business integration with other flexible packaging converting companies that use recyclable, compostable and innovative materials.

The group member companies, whose manufacturing facilities are located in Castel San Giovanni (Piacenza) and Lamporecchio (Pistoia), are leading players in all areas of the production chain, from printing, coupling and lamination through to the cutting of flexible film made of recyclable and compostable materials and paper for use in food product packaging, tissue and industrial sectors.

Poplast posted sales revenue of around €63 million and an EBITDA of €10 million in 2018. The Group’s positive growth trend, which has enabled it to double its economic and financial indices in the space of three years, is driven by organic development and investment policies for the production of eco-sustainable, biodegradable and compostable materials.
