Bormioli Pharma announces a call for startups for sustainable packaging
Bormioli Pharma, a leading producer of glass and plastic pharmaceutical packaging, has announced a call for startups on the theme of sustainable packaging for the pharmaceutical sector.
The initiative has been developed in cooperation with Le Village by CA, the Crédit Agricole group’s Italian hub supporting local business and innovation.
Interested startups will have until 26 July to submit a project featuring the use of innovative and sustainable plastic materials, reduced use of raw materials, solutions for reuse and recycling, and development of end-of-life management models for pharmaceutical packaging.
The selected projects will receive the backing of Bormioli Pharma for industrial-scale development.
The company, which has placed innovation at the centre of its corporate development strategy, has launched Bormioli Pharma Invents, a programme aimed at developing innovative solutions that combine internal R&D activities with new projects originating from startups, research centres and universities.
The programme also includes Innovation Sprint, a series of workshops organised in collaboration with the strategic consulting firm BearingPoint and including the participation of various corporate functions as well as external representatives of the pharmaceutical world and innovation.
