Beauty: supply chain trends for the industry of tomorrow

Cosmopack, a Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna event, returns to Bologna from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 March, reaffirming its uniqueness by offering technologies set to influence the cosmetics industry of the future.

Cosmopack offers an exclusive overview of trends, new developments, digital solutions and smart manufacturing proposed by international caliber  operators, thanks to the event’s coverage of the entire supply chain: raw materials, processing and packaging machinery, contract manufacturing and full service solutions, applicators, and primary and secondary packaging.

Data and facts in hand
Cosmopack 2018 will bring other new developments: +6%  in terms of exposition, 464 concerns from 31 countries, and a steadily growing waiting list.
Thanks to networking activities, sponsored by ICE - Agenzia (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade)
 and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, in markets offering high potential to the cosmetic sector, participation of international concerns has also increased (55% of total).
A number of outstanding industry players will appear for the first time at Cosmopack, which is recognized internationally as a go-to event for the cosmetics supply chain: Oxygen (USA), Maesa (Francia), Dubai Personal Care (private label division of Unilever), HSA Cosmetic Division and Marchesini Group (Italia).
As for the Cosmopack Factory, the format started six years ago in Bologna, this year it will be presenting Powderful, an integrated project for the production of an “allover palette”.

An award for the supply chain

As a natural extension of the contest “The Wall” (started in 2014), this year will see the first edition of the Cosmopack Awards, reserved as usual to fair exhibitors. In partnership with the agency Beautystreams, BolognaFiere Cosmoprof has appointed a panel of international experts to select and recognize research, formulation, technology and digital innovation solutions presented by the exhibitors in each of the award categories.
At the fair itself, two special showcases will be set up to display the finalists at the Bologna Fiere service center and at gallery 15-18.
We remind that also the finalists and winners of the Cosmoprof Awards will be selected by a panel of specialists with expertise in finished product, who will recognize the top market performers and those most in line with consumer demand. The projects in the running in both contests are available at www.cosmoprofawards.com, a digital platform recently developed ad hoc.

The strength of a global format
Following the development of the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna network, in 2018 the supply chain represented at Cosmopack is getting ready for new international events. Cosmetic operators will be the protagonists at Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas, as well as the second edition of Cosmopack Asia at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. India Preview, a new entry to the Cosmoprof international platform, will be held on 10-11 September in Mumbai, responding to the interest expressed by the Indian market in formulation solutions, manufacturing processes and packaging proposed by Cosmopack concerns.
Innovation and technology applied to industry are also the mainstay of professional operators in attendance at Iran Beauty & Clean (Tehran, 26-29 April) and Belleza y Salud (Bogotà, Colombia, 3-7 October), events which Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof will continue to coordinate with in 2018 as an international sales representative.
