Closing with beauty

Cosmeeting and Creative Beauty 2014, organized by Beyond Beauty Events in Paris last September 9-11, brought together 361 exhibitors and 18,248 visitors (with a high percentage of foreign people).

At its 12th edition, the event dedicated to beauty products and (especially) packaging, but also raw materials, services, etc. thus consolidates its international scope and enjoys an increase in the number of participants representing cosmetics marketing brands. In particular, Cosmeeting 2014 hosted 196 exhibitors in 4 thematic areas: Zoom, a launch pad for emerging brands less than 5 years old; the new Cosmeeting Selective; Cosmeeting Color and SPA Corner. Creative Beauty Paris, with 165 exhibitors, brought together ingredients, raw materials, formulas, packaging, OEM, converting, machinery and services.

Enriching additions to the contents of the Paris event included BBLab, an interdisciplinary idea lab that focused this year on “hair beauty” and the Beauty Challenger Awards for innovation.

Always more business-oriented. Originally created as a showcase of innovation and a springboard for new entry concerns, the two shows have developed their respective profiles with increasing clarity as an occasion for business meetings. On this front, this year is remarkable thanks to a delegation organized in collaboration with the Guangzhou Global Beauty Thinking Commercial Service: more than 150 meetings were scheduled between 50 Chinese buyers and concerns who wish to develop their export strategies in the large Asian market; in this spirit a new area was set up – Cosmeeting Selective – which hosted pre-scheduled meetings between 9 brands with strong growth and a few key selective distribution buyers (including the Italian concern Intertrade).
