PCD+ADF now “open” to animals

Two new show/conventions will join the now consolidated PCD (Packaging Perfumes, Cosmetics & Design) and ADF (Aerosol & Dispensing Forum), scheduled for this upcoming February 4 and 5 at Paris’s Espace Champerret.

As is clear from their names, Pet’s Packaging Forum and Vet’s Packaging Forum are dedicated to pet food and veterinary product packaging, respectively.
In such a way, two events will join the two already organized together in what Oriex is re-christening “The Paris Packaging Innovation Hub”. Indeed the packaging focus remains, as well as that on innovation, in a format in which the show will prove to be first of all an opportunity for demonstrating live the technical advances and those in vision under consideration during the two day schedule of highly specialized conferences.
As for “hub”, PCD and ADF have demonstrated in their 11 years of life (9 for ADF) their ability to play the role of a venue for encounters, given the continual rise in its number of attendees and the profile of the concerns involved. As of today, in fact, the 2015 edition of the Oriex cornucopia can count on the participation of approximately 250 exhibitors and 4,000 expected visitors, both high profile and international, hailing from about seventy different countries, in addition to testimonials from prestigious brands (Nestlé, L’Oréal...).
All indicators signal growth, vouching for the “stripped down” format of small, previously set up stands that are easy and quick to visit and economically sustainable.

The Pet and Vet world. 60 billion euro is the global volume of the business of feeding and caring for animals, and another 15 billion comes from products for their health. These are constantly growing markets serviced by a high tech supply chain that is often also engaged with sectors of products for humans. They thus represent an increasingly important outlet market for many exhibitors and visitors at the Oriex fairs, some of whom report concrete projects underway and plans to invest in these fields.
Oriex thus unveils this year a series of dedicated conferences with the aim of fostering exchanges of experience and technology transfers among veterinarians, pharmacists, packaging directors, R&D and acquisitions managers in the different fields. Also here, the 2015 Pet’s & Vet’s Packaging Innovation Awards will represent an important driver of innovation.

Products and ideas on show - The four events will be held at the same time in the Espace Champerret and will bring together materials producers (conventional and “new”); assembly machinery; packaging and wrapping with accessories; custom packaging; management and control software; design, quick prototyping and pre-series; packaging production, decoration and surface treatments; pumps and dispensing; anti-tampering systems, printing… And while PCD’s target market is well-defined, as well as those of the Pet’s & Vet’s Packaging Forums, Aerosol & Dispensing Forum covers a vast array of outlet sectors: from beauty through food and hygiene, to gardening, paints and many other products.
The events have been conceived with the help of experts and businesspeople, coordinated by well-known personalities of the sector and supplemented by three innovation awards that represent meaningful updates on the development of relevant technologies.
