Authenticated quality in the bottle

History of irreverent and unpredictable spirits, of a designer bottle and of a hologram devised to protect the brand’s authenticity. The 958 Santero winery chooses Kurz’s TRUSTSEAL® - company represented in Italy by Luxoro - to ensure the quality of its wine and the “pop” spirit of a unique design.

“Dilè” in Piedmontese dialect means “imprint”, a sign that recalls authenticity and belonging... something that testifies to the unique and recognizable essence of a product. And “Dilè” has also become the name of a leading product among the non-sparkling wines of the 958 Santero winery, a winery of ancient traditions founded by the Santero family, which for three generations has been operating with perseverance and above all, a desire to innovate in a sector that is too often caged in very rigid formats.

The company is in fact known for its modern and irreverent nature, as well as for an original and more than unmistakable style. Today the Santero family looks to the future, aware of its potential and with the conviction that it must continue to follow the paths of research and renewal, communicating its intentions and intuitions in the best possible way.

A sign in glass
With this spirit, the “pop” mood of Santero 958 was born and developed which, to package Dilé, chose bottles that were colored and in their own way “irreverent”, featuring a playful and light design that, at the same time, allude to the territory with its vines and its symbolic products, interpreted in a personal, natural and transparent style.
The fact, therefore, of having chosen the “hand” - a bottle with an exclusive, innovative and extravagant shape, where the cast of a hand is an integral part of the body of the glass container and that profoundly marks its shape and ergonomics - in some way had to be defended and protected.

Having become a collector’s item and at the center of numerous plagiarisms, it was therefore necessary to resort to some countermeasures to counteract the fakes: the shape of the bottle was patented and an anti-counterfeiting hologram of Kurz’s TRUSTSEAL® line was inserted on the back of the label.

Defend and communicate uniqueness
In this sense, the use of an exclusive hologram as optical protection represents on the one hand a means of protection from commercial fraud, on the other an added value of communication and marketing, in line with the company’s style and commercial choices. Moreover, in an industrial context where acts of piracy are increasing, TRUSTSEAL® solutions are indeed becoming increasingly popular.
The technology that characterizes the Kurz range of proposals goes far beyond the existing safety standard for optical identification: in fact it combines the aesthetics of spectacular visual effects with functionality, combining protection and enhancement of the brand in a single solution. In particular, the solution adopted by Santero is a heat-applied metallised holographic stripe on the back label.

The technical realization with relative application of the holographic image has been entrusted to Albagrafica Srl, the longstanding Cuneo based graphics company, which has achieved impeccable results.
The sophisticated design of the application integrates some of the most significant effects of the TRUSTSEAL® technology, to allow both the rapid verification of the authenticity of the hologram and to raise the protection of the product to the highest levels, given the uniqueness and complexity of reproduction of the effects themselves.
