In February 2016 Mondi will be showcasing its full range of highly functional paper grades and corrugated box solutions at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Germany. The fair is a crucial forum for producers, exporters, distributors, retailers and service providers who are keen to develop and expand their international business. Making its sixth appearance at the trade fair, Mondi will be exhibiting its containerboard for fruit and vegetable packaging - grades that suit humid and cold conditions perfectly and therefore support long-haul logistics.

Alongside the water-resistant and eco-friendly ProVantage Kraftliner Aqua, one of Mondi’s highlights at Fruit Logistica will undoubtedly be the improved quality of its paper grades ProVantage Fluting Aqua and ProVantage Fluting Fresco - achieved by rebuilding PM4 at its Świecie mill in Poland. The modifications are delivering a variety of benefits to corrugated box producers: lightweight packaging offering high performance, excellent profiles in terms of basis weight and moisture resistance, considerable savings.
The minor changes in the profile ensure excellent runnability of the semichemical paper on corrugators in addition to greater efficiency.

aqua protec®: a brand. In solutions using the ProVantage Kraftliner Aqua and/or ProVantage Fluting Aqua paper grades, Mondi offers its “aqua protec®” brand for high-quality and sustainable boxes that resist the most challenging conditions, entailing a number of advantages for corrugated board producers.  
Besides being able to use the logo “aqua protec®” to stand out from the competition, they will be in a position to create boxes and cases lighter than those in standard corrugated board, and with a 35% lower water absorption rate. With no need to use paraffin, processing speeds are increased 15%, increasing overall output.

Appearance. Mondi has been driving improvements in its Appearance portfolio.
With the modernised PM21 at its Syktyvkar mill in Russia, the company has enhanced the quality of the ProVantage Komiwhite brand to combine eye-catching packaging with strong, shelf-ready box solutions.                          


Paper-based packaging at your service
Within its broad containerboard product portfolio, Mondi offers a range of Appearance papers to satisfy the requirements of both customers and end-users as regards strength, high durability, excellent runnability on corrugators, and high-class printability. It also supplies a full range of kraft grades and, within the Semi Chem portfolio, solutions for packaging applications that are both stable and resistant to moisture. The Recycled range, consisting of 100% environmentally sound paper solutions, rounds off the Mondi Containerboard product portfolio. Mondi’s virgin and recycled containerboard is used to make corrugated packaging, primarily designed to protect customers’ products along the value chain and display them in-store.

The encounters at Fruit Logistica. Two the “Fact-Boxes” scheduled, where Mondi will illustrate trends and advantages: the first during a free workshop from 2.30 pm on 4 February and one at the Mondi stand (D-16, CityCube, Hall B).
