The circular life of plastic

The management of plastic waste represents one of the fundamental areas of intervention to encourage change capable of guaranteeing the future of our planet.
An important contribution in this sense comes from the activity carried out by  Aliplast, a leading company in Italy and in Europe in the collection and recycling of plastic waste and in the production of high quality regenerated plastic material.

Since 2017 Aliplast has become part of Herambiente, a Hera Group company and first national operator in the treatment of all types of waste. This integration has also facilitated the entry of the multi-utility into the prestigious international CE100 network of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, which brings together the 100 realities most involved in the transition towards a circular economy.

The practice of sustainability
Aliplast produces regenerated polymers, flexible films in PE and rigid films in PET and is the first company in Italy to have achieved full integration throughout the plastic life cycle, combining the production and sale of manufactured articles and packaging materials - in a large part of recycled plastic and in-house products - environmental services for the management and collection of scraps, waste and packaging waste that directly feed the internal processes of advanced recycling.
With a recovery percentage, compared to incoming volumes, which exceeds 90% and with more than 90,000 tons of regenerated plastic, Aliplast avoids the emission of over 150,000 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere each year. In detail, Aliplast produces a wide range of high quality recycled polymers: flakes and granules in regenerated PET (also food-contact), granules for lining/blowing in LDPE, granules or ground substances in HDPE and PP suitable for blowing/injection molding.

The regenerated polymers are joined by a complete series of LDPE films for packaging and sheets of PET made with recycled material.
Full integration throughout the plastic life cycle allows customers to offer “closed-loop” systems, through which plastic waste is collected, recycled, transformed into packaging and resold to the customer.
