A flexible team is a winning team

The Liquid Primary Packing (LPP) Business Unit of Fameccanica can boast several years of experience: in fact it has been operating for some time in the design and manufacture of machinery for filling rigid plastic bottles with liquid products, both for Beauty Care and for Home Care... and this well before the BU itself was made official.

The "guiding principle" of Fameccanica LPP has always been flexibility: of process, design as well as project management.

As engineer Rocco Amicone, manager of the BU explains: «Being flexible is a  must in a changing market like the one in which we operate. What for others may prove to be an effort is actually a natural attitude for us. We never say "no" to our customers, rather we discuss with them about the best solution to adopt. And what is "different", for us, represents a challenge that needs to be overcome».

Some examples?

«For a Home Care line - says Amicone - we made a prototype, equipped with components in anticorrosive material in special alloy, and with mechanical parts and software capable of handling very different types of bottles and caps, also thanks to the use of our universal automatic capper with electronic cam, which enables the attainment of very high format change speeds. Recently, again for Home Care, - continues the manager - we delivered a complete production line, together with the blowing head and bottle transport system. Something anything but easy. Our team, in this case, was able not only to follow the customer's specifications with extreme precision, but also to develop an impeccable project management system, with the LPP as the only interface between the customer and the suppliers of the numerous components of the line. This led to a lean project, which achieved success beyond expectations. Last but not least, I want to mention the supply of modules to be installed on existing machines: the flexibility in this case is everything since, often, the existing lines are dated and do not reflect the degree of automation of our solutions, yet we manage to reach the goal without difficulty».

Among the first to market a robotic bottle orientator, Fameccanica LPP has always innovated, constantly expanding its range of available technical solutions. Which, to stay on the subject, demonstrates maximum flexibility, open-mindedness and... excellent teamwork.
