Food and Sustainability child scale

A “different” encounter that organized by Gifasp October 5, 2015, in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio and Comieco at Expogate, Piazza Castello, Milan, part of the Expoincittà and Children Share Network program.

Aimed at families and children,”From good food to the right food” witnessed a series of talks on safety, sustainability and creativity but also the theatrical performance “Learn to be a product in a box !!!” performed by “i Poeticanti”, featuring music, songs and rhymes and a snack created by a chef.
In fact Fabrizio Sansoni, food stylist and chef for the occasion prepared three different types of cookies and a chocolate mousse contained in a specially designed packaging (design: Francesca Meana) and distributed as a gadget, underlining how creativity applied to re-use is essential in children’s education.
After the good-natured taunts of Emilio Albertini (“what would happen if suddenly we removed all packaging, wrappings and boxes?”), Eliana Farotto, R&D head at Comieco presented “The cartometro” to help you “collect and segregated paper and cardboard in the right way”; Fulvia Lo Duca, psychologist and past president of Gifasp focused attention on the psychological value of food (on the consoling “comfort food”) and its cultural value.

Alessandra Alessi, Istituto Italiano Imballaggio communications manager for her part reasoned on the on average 20 packs handled each day by every one of us, for a total of about 8,000 a year while presenting the Ethical Packaging Charter with the 10 fundamental adjectives of packaging, these being: responsible, balanced, safe, accessible, transparent (non-deceptive), informative, contemporary, farsighted, educational and sustainable”.
