Highcon - Esko agreement
Highcon Systems Ltd has signed a commercial and technological cooperation agreement with Esko to integrate Esko ArtiosCAD software (design, packaging product development and the creation of virtual prototypes) with Highcon Euclid, the first machine in the world for digital cutting and creasing.
The Direct-to-Pack Highcon solution enables the elimination of traditional blanks while obtaining high quality cut and folded sheets directly from digital data, thereby significantly reducing production time. Highcon Euclid accepts digital files from standard sources, such as Esko ArtiosCAD, containing the information for the cutting and creasing of the cardboard on two levels: the first contains the creasing information, the second data layer controls three CO2 lasers and a Highcon scanning system that cuts and perforates the cartons at production speeds, prior to stacking.
