What it is. The Ecosustainable Liquid Absorbing Tray - Vale is patented for fresh or frozen food products, and is made of compostable paper material. Thanks to a perforated upper layer and an absorbent one underneath, the liquids released from meat, fish or vegetables are captured and retained inside the tray itself. This keeps the contents dry, with advantages in terms of practicality, aesthetics and preservation of the product.

Materials. Compostable paper material.

Product or target market. Meat and fish, fresh or frozen.

Design and/or communication. The design of the tray is studied to absorb the liquids released by the meat and fish and maintain the appearance of the product throughout its shelf life. In this way, a more satisfying presentation is guaranteed, avoiding any possible leakage of liquids from the package. There are many possibilities of customization, by means of embossing on the outer layer, which also allows to provide any useful information to the consumer.

Technology. The lamination of the upper layer, equipped with special microholes, with the internal absorbent layer does not alter the structure and performance of the tray. "Vale" can be used in combination with heat-shrinkable films, or sealed with transparent heat-sealed films.

Sustainability. The packaging is fully compostable, to optimize end-of-life disposal. The peculiar ability to absorb liquids released by food, enables the organoleptic characteristics as well as the aesthetics of the product to be preserved, prolonging the shelf life, and helping to avoid food waste. Light, stackable and resistant, the tray also has an easy format for logistics.
