Sidel’s commitment to a sustainable future

PET is much more than a material for simple bottles. That’s why Sidel has decided to contribute to the circular economy with an end-to-end approach, thanks to a 360° view on packaging and production machines.

Over a third of all soft drinks are packaged in PET bottles, a material with unique properties and in addition 100% recyclable so as to allow a closed cycle called bottle-to-bottle.

High-level packaging design and continuous innovation in blow molding techniques allow Sidel to further reduce the quantity of PET present in the bottles themselves and at the same time maintain high quality standards also for recycled PET bottles (rPET).

Sidel today more than ever reaffirms its commitment to the continuous transformation of the packaging industry, in addition to signing the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment, an initiative launched by Ellen MacArthur Foundation and UN Environment.
