Anuga FoodTec 2015 - 24-27 March, Cologne (D)

Product sustainability and efficiency in the management of resources will be the main themes of the international food and beverage show, organized by Koelnmesse GmbH in cooperation with Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft -DLG (German Agricultural Society).

Now in its seventh year, Anuga FoodTec is registering a large number of sign-ups both among SMEs as well as among the big market leaders and under the umbrella slogan “One for all - all in one” will be bringing the entire production chain: food processing and packaging, food safety and service solutions, this year with an important role played by ingredients and packaging materials.

Complete and segmented. The organizers expect the participation of over 1,400 exhibitors from some 40 countries and nearly 43,000 international trade visitors. The liveliest areas are those of the technologies for the processing of meat; subcontractors of the dairy industry; businesses that serve the fruit and vegetable sector.
The completeness of the offer is thus a key element of the German show, which stretches over a gross exhibition space of 127,000 sqm and occupies halls from 4-10 of Koeln fair centre.
In this context, to give visibility to technologies and specific segments of the offer, Anuga FoodTec identified the offer of transport solutions, controlled atmosphere packaging, lubricants ... as “Services & Solutions”.

A database of novelties. The responsible and sustainable management of natural resources, along with their efficient use, are more than ever a key goal of any manufacturing activity, particularly in the food and beverage industry. At Anuga FoodTec specific ideas and solutions to reduce the waste of water, energy, raw materials and food along the processing chain will be presented.
The same themes will also be taken up in the program of collateral events. Among these,  “the database of novelties”, where as early as January exhibitors can present their ideas, technologies and proposals on the subject of efficiency, thus giving a picture of available solutions and R&D trends in the field of sustainability.
As far as the conferences are concerned, among the main events we highlight the “2nd International Conference + Drying Technologies for Milk and Whey” to be held on 23 and 24 March 2015 and Friday, March 27, the “Careers Day”, that brings together exhibitors and students.

A partnership with Italy. As pointed out by Katharina Hamma, CEO of Koelnmesse GmbH, at the press conference during the last CibusTec (Parma, October 28, 2014), the German trade fair organizer signed an agreement with Fiere di Parma and Ucima (the Italian Packaging Machine Constructors Association), now extended to Federalimentare. The basic objective of this partnership, which also includes the fairs Anuga, Thaifex-World of Food Asia, ISM is to support exhibitors and visitors in their operating on the international markets.
The Italians now make up the largest foreign component of Anuga FoodTec: in 2012 there were more than 165 exhibitors and more than a thousand visitors from Italy.
