At Ecomondo 2025, the future of ecological transition
From 4 to 7 November, Ecomondo will return to the Rimini Expo Centre (Italy). Organised by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the event is a leading international platform for the green, blue and circular economy in Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
The 2025 edition will span 30 halls and 166,000 square metres of exhibition space, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Strong participation is expected from Germany, Spain, Poland, Serbia, Turkey and the Netherlands, as well as the North African countries of Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and the Middle East. Its international scope will be further consolidated by the presence of numerous foreign delegations.
Ecomondo will feature six thematic macro-areas: Waste as Resource, Water Cycle & Blue Economy, Sites & Soil Restoration, Bioenergy & Agriculture, Earth Observation and Environmental Monitoring, and Circular and Regenerative Bio-Economy. The most hotly debated topics will include advanced recycling of strategic raw materials, eco-design and new packaging solutions to reduce impact along the entire supply chain without compromising functionality, artificial intelligence and digitalisation to accelerate the ecological transition, new technologies for satellite monitoring to counter the effects of climate change, and strategies for industrial decarbonisation.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a packed calendar of conferences, seminars and round tables organised by Ecomondo's Technical-Scientific Committee, providing in-depth talks on the global challenges of ecological transition.
Also returning this year is the States General of the Green Economy, organised by the Sustainable Development Foundation and promoted by the National Council for the Green Economy in collaboration with the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security, and under the patronage of the European Commission.
