Golden Label Award
Brainchild of the Austrian company Brigl & Bergmeister, an award that spotlights design and technological innovation in the printing of paper labels. Winners and trends.
State-of-the-art Printing technologies, the right paper and the most appropriate finishing: these are the elements that allow a label to transmit excellence to reinforce the brand and support the success of a product on the market. Brigl & Bergmeister, Austrian producer of papers for labels and flexible packaging, is so convinced of this that they have set up a special competition, the Golden Label Award, conceived to promote the knowhow and the results obtained by a whole segment at international level, devised to show off the quality of cellulose materials and even perhaps discover further potential.
The competition, now in its eighth edition, is in fact open to any operator involved in label production processes, from the printer to the manufacturer of consumer goods, from designers to advertising agencies, provided the entry refers to a label already launched on the market; the “best label” should also show itself to be user practical.
An independent jury made up of marketing and design experts, as well as experienced printing and finishing technicians, awards Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit certificates in set categories, these being labels for beer and beer mixes; mineral water, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages; labels for wines, spirits, confectionery, cans and jars. They also select and decree the best technical quality and the best marketing & design idea.
The traditional awards are also accompanied by a special prize, established on the basis of an online vote open to all (but that does not affect the technical judgments of the jury): This year the Brigl & Bergmeister e-voting site registered more than 12,000 clicks.
