PCD+ADF: a leap forward
Up by 38% the exhibitors at the dual PCD (Packaging Parfums Cosmétiques & Design) and ADF (Aerosol & Dispensing Forum) events, held on 6th and 7th February at Espace Champerret in Paris.
This year, there were 110 PCD stands, to which must be added the 60 of the ADF, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing development of the event planned and managed by Oriex. First estimates show that visitors are also up by between 20 and 25%: some 3,000 from as many as 56 countries.
The news is noteworthy, given the difficulties that many B2B Fairs are facing in this difficult economic climate. But above all, we note the rare correspondence between intentions and promises of the organizers and evaluations of the operators present at the fair. ItaliaImballaggio, media partner for Italy of the event, had this confirmed on their visits to the exhibitors. The respondents in fact expressed unanimous consent for both the formula and the quality of the organization and redemption in terms of the quantity and decision-making role of the visitors.
Topping the list of appreciation the "agile" concept (the show lasts only two days, the stands are small and identical, the costs are particularly low), and the combination between exhibition space and conferences: the talks given by experts carried on continuously from 9 am to 6 pm in two conference halls dedicated to packaging and aerosols, providing updates on trends in supply and demand, technologies and products. The presence of top managers of manufacturing and user companies contributes to the success of PCD ADF. The VIPs are involved as speakers and coordinators of the conferences, or present playing host at the stands, as well as featuring among the visitors and, naturally among the winners of the cosmetic packaging and aerosol innovation awards, that go to the big brand marketers and researchers that “make” the market.
The eighth edition of ADF and the tenth edition of PCD will be held 5-6th February as ever at the Espace Champerret.
