Birthday celebrations for NürnbergMesse Italia

The Bavarian city’s expo centre, where in 2015 the next FackPack will be held (29 September 1 October), communicates figures on the rise and celebrates the first five years of its Italian subsidiary.

Some 1,500 Italian exhibitors (+ 30% compared to 10 years ago) and more than 16,000 Italian visitors (+ 60%) participate each year in the international trade fairs in Nuremberg, placing Italy at the top of the European rating of the areas that feed the flow of operators to the Bavarian exhibition center. The creation five years ago of NürnbergMesse Italia has certainly helped to consolidate this leadership position, which as far as packaging is concerned features FachPack (showing clear growth with 1,439 exhibitors and 34,598 visitors in 2013), and Brau Beviale, of similar scope and focused on the production, bottling and packaging of beer and soft drinks.
«We have enjoyed five years of growth and progress - the Italian subsidiary’s CEO Stefania Calcaterra declares - that without a doubt deserved to be celebrated».

Things were organized last November 6 by the company’s close-knit, all-woman team led by Stefania Calcaterra, who hosted the top management of the parent company and one hundred clients and journalists, in the beautiful frescoed hall of the Palazzo Visconti di Modrone (behind San Babila, in the center of Milan). The evening featured speeches and acknowledgments, references to the ongoing historical and cultural “contamination” between the two countries and, aboveall, a resumé of the figures and other reasons that confirm NürnbergMesse among the top 15 exhibition organizers in the world and among the top 10 in Europe (NürnbergMesse is also the first exhibition organizer certified ISO 50001).  The dinner and entertainment culminated in the super birthday cake made by Knam - the German, naturalised Milanese patisserie that has become famous for its mousse and the TV show “The King of Chocolate”. Punctuated by two pleasant surprises: The conjuring tricks of magician Gianfranco Preverino and the stunning sand drawings that Silvia Emme composed and recomposed on the projector screen.

Service, synergies and quality. Behind the welcome addresses of the “host” and the affability of the German managers one sensed a genuine team spirit going beyond any ritual. NürnbergMesse Italia indeed is Nuremberg Messe’s “favorite scion”, with an excellent balance of sqms sold and a strong tendency to loyalise, where service plays a crucial role.
«For NürnbergMesse, Italy is a very interesting market, and therefore it is crucial for us to be present on site directly with our company», the two CEOs of the German group that intervened at the celebrations, Roland Fleck and Peter Ottmann reiterated with conviction. The Italian structure, what is more, also acquires visitors and exhibitors for the trade fairs organized by the subsidiaries in Brazil, China, India and the US, supporting exhibitors in a wide-ranging program of internationalization.
