Photovoltaics: a very topical issue. All the same, although you hear a lot about it as a source of environmentally friendly energy, few still know that it also offers great opportunities of savings (cutting the costs of your energy bills) and investment. What are the advantages and, aboveall, is it really a good investment?
More than a year after the commissioning of the system, I can state  we made a truly excellent investment, considering that the superb quality of the materials installed ensures us returns even higher than expected.
 
The renewable energy sector is growing, but it is not easy to get your bearings. What channels did you use to obtain more information, particularly on companies engaged in PV?
In the research phase I relied on the word of mouth of those who were already moving in that direction... It seemed safer to me. Indeed our contacts indicated Alter Eco, a company that won our faith right from the first encounter. They gave a good impression in that both their exposition of the issues to be faced as well as their estimate gave a clear, transparent and complete account of the different phases and listings. In addition, compared to others, they offered excellent guarantees.
 
What were these?
Firstly, the assurance of an all around assistance service. Since the relationship between customer and producer is intended in this case to last at least twenty years, it is important to entrust yourself to someone who can provide you with full and accurate support at every stage: from installation to assistance with the GSE paperwork up to maintenance of the facilities. We were also fully satisfied with the design of the selfsame facilities, as well as the guarantees regarding the same. But more importantly, we appreciated the direct dialogue with the heads of Alter Eco, fundamental for establishing relations of mutual trust.
 
What would you recommend to those thinking of investing in PV but that are still hesitant?
To move decisively and quickly to still take advantage of the incentives granted by the government, but to also carefully evaluate the skills and reliability of the installing company so as to have, as well as a system developed to perfection, a post-sales service at the same level.
