Magnoni sells 100% of its shares to LM Group

As part of its ongoing expansion programme, on 14 September the LM Group completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Magnoni, a Modena-based company that has been designing and building customised handling systems for bulk and packaged products in the food and beverage sectors for over 60 years. Magnoni has been collaborating for many years with some of the most famous international brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Red Bull, Heineken, Mutti, Menù and Noberasco, to whom it supplies efficient and customised solutions for handling cans, tins, jars, clusters, cartons and containers of all kinds.

The deal brings significant benefits to both companies. Magnoni will now be able to rely on the parent company’s know-how, on the well-equipped in-house division that produces the main components used in belt assemblies, and on the modern electronic automation department. At the same time, LM will expand its range of food and beverage packaging solutions by integrating fully customised systems.

“Thanks to Magnoni’s expertise, LM will be able to strengthen its position within its target market by designing handling systems in full compliance with its roots and in line with the latest technological innovations,” said Michele Franzoni, General Manager of the LM Group. “The invaluable support of our automation department will play a key role in future developments.”

LM’s solutions can currently handle empty or full containers, eliminate water residues from surfaces, clean the interiors from foreign matter prior to filling and much more.

The LM Group is made up of LM Spa, Magnoni Srl and Marpatech, a company based in Santarcangelo di Romagna (RN) that specialises in customised transport solutions and turnkey handling systems. The entire group employs 90 people at 3 locations in Modena and Santarcangelo. The facilities occupy a total area of 7,700 square metres. Group-wide turnover is projected to reach around €19 million in 2021, including €13 million generated by the parent company LM.
