Scandolara ECO: the products are born from the green philosophy

Green Heart. Scandolara is a trendsetter in the “sustainability” field, and in 2009 won the Packaging Oscar for an innovation considered the “perfect synthesis of image and respect for the environment”.

We are talking about the “Green Heart” tube, a three layer coextrusion: a recycled polyethylene core inside two layers of virgin PE in direct contact with the product guarantees compatibility between container and contents, as well as the ease of welding during packaging. The recycled PE reduces the use of virgin material by 40%, while the virgin PE outside keeps the physical and aesthetic qualities of the packaging unaltered.
An excellent print yield and repeatable results have made it a standard that Scandolara now proposes in an evolved version: the structure of the new Green Heart provides 3 coextruded PE layers in a cylindrical tube with an inner layer of recycled HDPE (certified rHDPE) where the outer layers are available in all mixtures of PE (low - medium - high density) for a total thickness of 500 mm.
Green Heart is available transparent or colored and in diameters of 35, 40 and 50 mm or in any diameter, if mixed in mono-extrusion.
 
Pure Green. Scandolara’s constant research in sustainable materials and packaging has reached Braskem’s “I’m greenTM Polyethylene”, the Brazilian producer that, starting from ethylene made from local sugar cane, transforms it into green plastic.
The result of this combination is the range of Pure Green PE tubes which, in addition to containing and preserving products in a functional and elegant manner, guarantees eco-sensitive brand owners the safety of a raw material derived from renewable sources, controlled and stocked with the “I’m greenTM ” hallmark.
