3D imaging with an ultra-compact sensor
Image S (a supplier of image processing components) presents Gocator 3019, the latest version of the 3D Smart Snapshot Sensor developed by LMI Technologies.
Destined for builders of assembly lines that need to conduct in line 3D controls of static objects by installing the sensor on a robot or stationary support, stand out due to their light and ultra-compact frame (49x100x155 mm volume and weighing just 1.5 kg), which facilitates installation in narrow spaces (for example for measurements on the cylinders of motors) and their integration on machinery or other factory equipment.
A wide field vision (covering an area between 86x67 mm and 88x93 mm) and advanced scanning capabilities enable the system to read and measure diverse elements by investing in a single 3D high resolution system, reducing processing times and guaranteeing maximum speed on the production line.
Furthermore, matrix scanning does not require perfect alignment of the sensors in order to precisely detect all the characteristic of the pieces acquired.
Gocator 3109 communicates directly with a PLC and robot, with considerable benefits during setup, installation and maintenance.
The new sensor is tared at the factory to enable quick installation, with immediate advantages (no taring, adjustment, setting or on-site maintenance required).
The web-based graphic interface is easy to use. Intuitive, CAD-based parameters enable configuring the scanner for specific measurements, without requiring a high level of technical expertise.
