ASSIGN™, assembly of motors on Exlar actuators
Exlar®, the Actuator Division of Curtiss-Wright - whose products are distributed in Italy by Servotecnica - has announced the release of ASSIGN™, the new program for assembling motors on Exlar® FTX and FTP series actuators.
These are electric rod actuators, with high force and stressful duty cycles, that can now be integrated on almost any type of motor.
Specifically, the Exlar FTX series actuators offer a nominal thrust of up to 178 kN, speeds of up to 1,500 mm/s and rod lengths from 150 mm to 900 mm. In contrast, the Exlar FTP series actuators offer a nominal force of up to 356 kN and speeds of up to 401 mm/s, and rod lengths of 150 mm to 900 mm.
The versatility of these actuators makes them suitable for a wide range of industrial automation applications.
The configuration options available with the ASSIGN™ program simplify selection from a wide range of motors (servomotors, steppers, motors with integrated electronics, gearmotors, NEMA flanges), allowing customers to choose in-line or parallel configurations, resulting in greater flexibility in motor sizing.
The program substantially increases the number of motor/actuator combinations available when using Exlar’s FTX and FTP series actuators, ensuring that the right motor can be used for the specific application.
